Created for Collectors.
Welcome to Professionally Built and Painted Tanks and Figures. Formerly known as Royal Model Studio, we have been building and painting military scale models since 2008, specialising in built tanks, professionally painted figures and highly detailed military models.
Over the years, our work has found its way into collections around the world. With 2K+ items sold and 100% positive feedback, we continue to create carefully built, painted and weathered models for collectors, enthusiasts and customers looking for something truly individual. We also offer custom builds and commissioned models, with global shipping available and a strong customer base in the USA.
Our Models
Every model is carefully built, painted and weathered by hand using professional modelling paints, airbrushing, oils, pigments and layered weathering techniques. Each piece is one-of-a-kind and individually finished to preserve the fine detail of the original kit while creating a realistic sense of operational use.
Unique models. Professional finishes. Ready for your collection.
Museum-Quality Finish
Every model is airbrushed and weathered by hand to a display-case standard, not rushed off a production line.
Historically Accurate
Camouflage schemes, tactical numbers, and unit markings are researched against real-world reference photos.
Aftermarket Detailing
Photo-etched (PE) parts, resin figures, and custom stowage take every build beyond an out-of-the-box kit.
Diorama-Ready
Figures are pinned and vehicles are finished to sit perfectly on a display base — ready to exhibit.
Free Worldwide Shipping
Each of our models is custom-packed and tracked from Leicester, UK, to collectors around the world.
Proven Track Record

The Build Process
From sealed box to finished display model — how your model comes to life.
01
Research & Planning
Historical references are carefully researched to establish the appropriate camouflage, markings, equipment and weathering for the subject and period.
02
Assembly & Detailing
The kit is carefully prepared and assembled, with photo-etched brass parts, resin details and other enhancements added where appropriate for greater scale accuracy and detail.
03
Airbrushing
Base coats, camouflage patterns, tonal variations and washes are applied using professional modelling paints and controlled airbrushing techniques.
04
Weathering
Layers of oils, pigments, washes and chipping techniques create realistic mud, dust, rust, fading and operational wear while retaining the fine detail of the model.
05
Final Touches
Stowage, figures, antennas and other fine details are added and refined. The finished model is then protected with a suitable matte varnish.
06
Secure Packing
Each completed model is carefully protected using specialist cushioning and rigid packaging, helping ensure it arrives safely with collectors anywhere in the world.
